Ashkan Fardost

Ashkan Fardost is a futurist and doctor of philosophy who explores how the evolution of communication shapes business, leadership, culture, and society. His talks are grounded in the view that every major upheaval in history has begun with a communication revolution—and that we are once again at the heart of a new kind of change.

Ashkan's presentation combines perspectives from science, history, and technology in a way that opens up a new way for audiences to understand the world. He takes listeners back in time to prehistoric communities and brings them forward to the present, where information technology is reshaping the structures of work, leadership, consumption, and thought.

He speaks about phenomena that many sense but few know how to articulate. Why does traditional marketing no longer work? What makes the transformation of work so fundamental? Ashkan has appeared at TEDxBerlin, the University of New York, and numerous corporate events around the world. He holds a doctorate, but his background also spans music, technology, and startup investing. He first rose to public attention at the age of 17 when he hacked Napster and signed a record deal with a major international music company.

Later Ashkan has worked at Soundtrap, owned by Spotify, and taught digital business at Hyper Island. He is also one of the hosts of one of Sweden's most respected podcasts. All of his experience comes through on stage as bold, provocative, and impactful speaking.
